Privacy Policy

BusBell SG is built to provide a focused transit utility without building a profile about you.

Reminders and anonymous alerts

Reminders remain available on your device. To deliver live arrival alerts while the app is closed, BusBell SG retains an anonymous APNs device token and the selected stop, bus service, reminder time, weekdays, lead time and enabled state. It does not upload the reminder's map coordinates or require an account, name, email address or phone number.

The server keeps this anonymous alert configuration for up to 90 days after the last successful sync. Deleting a reminder removes it from the retained configuration on the next successful sync. Apple also tells BusBell SG when a device token is no longer registered, allowing the associated configuration to be removed earlier.

Location and nearby stops

Location access is optional and starts only after you tap the location control and approve the system permission. Precise map-centre coordinates are processed transiently by the BusBell SG API to return nearby stops and are not retained. Server access logs omit IP addresses and query strings.

Maps and arrival data

Map tiles are proxied from OpenStreetMap through the BusBell SG API. Nearby stops and live arrival estimates are obtained from LTA DataMall. These requests are used to provide the feature you requested, not to profile you. Service providers are required to handle request data only for that purpose and with the same or equivalent privacy protection.

Optional sponsored offers

No account is required. BusBell SG offers an optional sponsored offer through Google Mobile Ads. No ad appears automatically: an offer opens only after you tap the red heart. Declining consent or tracking permission does not disable maps, live arrivals, reminders or notifications.

Advertising data

When advertising is available, Google Mobile Ads and its partners may process coarse location inferred from an IP address, device identifiers, advertising data, product interaction, crash and diagnostic data, and performance data. These data may be used for third-party advertising, advertising measurement, analytics and app functionality. Depending on your choices and Apple's platform controls, some advertising data, device identifiers, performance data or product interaction may be linked across services or used to track you. BusBell SG does not give Google your saved reminders or precise map-centre coordinates for advertising.

Your advertising privacy choices

Google's User Messaging Platform requests consent where required. On iOS, BusBell SG also uses App Tracking Transparency before an eligible personalized advertising request. If you do not allow tracking, Google Mobile Ads does not receive the iOS advertising identifier from the app and may still provide a less-personalized or contextual offer. Where required, open About in the app and choose Privacy choices to review or change your Google consent selections.

This website

This static website does not contain advertising, analytics scripts, tracking beacons, forms or cookies. The in-app Privacy choices control applies to Google Mobile Ads in BusBell SG, not to this static website.

Notifications

Notification permission is requested only when you choose to enable a reminder. The BusBell SG server uses the anonymous alert configuration only to obtain the requested LTA estimate and send it through Apple Push Notification service. You can revoke location or notification access at any time in iOS Settings, and you can delete saved reminders in the app. BusBell SG does not use reminder configuration for advertising, tracking or profiling.
